Set-Up Module:
These services have been designed to respond to Clients that require an initial "grant development set-up," which can usually be accomplished within 30-60 days. Through this service package, a Grant Writer Source Associate identifies program areas for funding, develops strong proposal narrative and budgets, establishes a grant tracking database, conducts prospect research, and identifies where to submit a selected number of initial proposals. As a result, the Client will have tools with which to continue the grant development process and the option to control some or all of that process in-house. Based on individual Client needs, Grant Writer Source provides a time and cost estimate for Set-Up Module completion and requests half of the project fee upfront, and half following project completion. Grant Writer Source provides detailed timesheets indicating hours and activities completed for each project.

Set-Up Module fees start at $3,500, depending on the number of different funding priorities and whether a government proposal is involved.

Retainer Arrangements:
Not every organization wants to maintain a highly qualified, experienced staff grant writer, and many simply cannot afford to. Through Grant Writer Source retainer arrangements, services are tailored to the changing needs of your organization each month, maximizing the resources you contribute to this vital, revenue-generating process. Grant Writer Source Associates focus time and attention on your comprehensive grant development processes, including proposal writing and submission guidance; program design, budgeting and strategizing with staff; prospect research and funding recommendations; grant tracking database maintenance; and the development of grant proposals and donor progress reports. In addition, Grant Writer Source Associates have experience helping agencies work together to strengthen grant proposals and services delivery. As a result, your organization will benefit from increased community collaboration and greater community awareness and support, which are essential components of a well-rounded development plan.

Retainer agreements start at $1,000 monthly and increase depending on the intensity of grant support activities required. Grant Writer Source bills monthly for retainer agreements, and provides a monthly timesheet indicating hours and activities completed for each project.

Project By Project
Some organizations desire project-by-project grant development support. The hourly project-specific rate is $75. Grant Writer Source provides a time and cost estimate for projects and requests half of the project fee upfront, and half following project completion. Grant Writer Source provides detailed timesheets indicating hours and activities completed for each project.

Prospect Research:
Prospect research in areas of foundation, corporate, and government funding can be customized as needed and includes written prospect reviews, recommendations and electronic distribution of information to appropriate decision makers.

Letters of Inquiry Preparation:
Letters of Inquiry and foundation proposals can be customized to targeted donors as a result of prospect research or based upon client contacts.

Foundation and Government Proposal Preparation:
During the preparation of major grant proposals, GWS staff will facilitate a team approach to proposal development in order to ensure that all stakeholders are invested in the proposed program and activities, and to ensure the best possible product.  GWS will provide a grant outline; task list and timeline of completion dates, including a staff review and editing process; leadership of a minimum of one essential program development strategy meeting; when necessary, assistance with assembly of the grant package and oversight of submission to ensure compliance with all grant requirements.

Supplemental Grant Development Resource:
GWS staff is available to provide assistance to organizations on a temporary basis, such as when internal resources are overwhelmed by multiple grant submissions. Supplemental grant development services will be charged on an hourly basis.

Grant Tracking Database:
GWS can provide an easy-to-use, Excel-based grant tracking system allowing organizations to keep track of prospects, due dates, proposal submissions, funding requests and more. If necessary, GWS can provide assistance maintaining this database.

Copy Editing and Media Materials:
GWS staff can conduct copy editing for client documents and create media materials, such as press releases and brochure copy. For example, a press release announcing a new grant award brings recognition to the client organization and the donor, and a published story highlighting successful program results strengthens future funding potential.
